The X-Scream is an extremely thrilling ride on the top of the Stratosphere Las Vegas tower situated at a height of 264 meter (866 feet). The Stratosphere Las Vegas is a tower, hotel, and casino located on the Las Vegas Strip in Las Vegas, Nevada.

This X-Scream ride comprises of a short, straight piece of track similar to that of a conventional roller coaster that carries a single open top car. The trackway pivots vertically in a see-saw motion, letting the car roll backward and forward along the length. The ride car is allowed to roll quickly forward to the end of the track at almost 48km/h (30mph), 8.2 meter (27 feet) over past the edge of the building before braking sharply, leaving nothing but 300 meter of air between passengers and the ground.

The rolling back and forth of the car and the rocking of the track is programmed to take the rider by surprise and feel like they are at risk of falling from the edge of the building.
