Kayan women holds the record of having the longest necks in the world. Tribal customs dictate that girls from as young as five, must start wearing brass coils or neck rings around their neck. More and longer rings are added as the collar bone is stretched. Kayan women has said they only feel discomfort initially.The longest recorded neck reached 40 cm in length.
