
Chocolate Hills is located on the island of Bohol, in the Central Visayas region of the Philippines. This famous tourist attraction in the center of Bohol island consists of 1,268 cone-shaped hills thats spread over 50 square kilometers. The hills are covered in green grass that turns brown during the dry season.
These grass covered limestone hills are between 30 meters and 120 meters in height. They are scattered throughout the towns of Batuan and Sagbayan, and concentrating near Carmen in Bohol. The Chocolate Hills was declared by the Philippine Tourism Authority as the country's 3rd National Geological Monument.
