Huacachina is a village that surrounds a natural lake in the desert of the Ica Region, in Southwestern Peru. Serving as a resort for locals from the nearby city of Ica, this area has been called "Oasis of America".
This place has been increasingly popular as a tourist attraction for sandboarding and buggy rides on the dunes that can go several hundred feet high.
