
The Trollstigen (The Troll Ladder) is a mountain road that is part of the Norwegian National Road 63 that connects Åndalsnes in Rauma and Valldal in Norddal. This part of mountain road in Rauma Municipality of Møre og Romsdal county, was opened on 31st July 1936 by King Haakon VII. This piece of road is a popular tourist attraction due to its steep incline of 9% and eleven hairpin bends up the steep mountain side.
