Garden Chapel
This Garden Chapel named ZONA, was designed by Klein Dytham architecture (KDa), is a design award winner located in the Risonare Hotel at the southern foot of the Yatsugatake Moutains, Yamanashi Prefecture. It is a very popular location for couples to hold their wedding ceremony.
The chapel is surrounded by the Southern Japan Alps and the Yatsugatake Mountains, and has a beautiful view of Mount Fuji as well. Within this natural setting, the chapel mimics two leaves that have fallen to the ground, one on top of the other.Thousands of holes in the leaves form the delicate image of a bridal veil. The light filtering through these holes creates an almost mystical scene during a wedding ceremony day or night.
