
Pura Luhur Uluwatu is a Balinese Sea Temple that is built in the 11th century, located at Uluwatu, on the island of Bali. This spectacular temple is perched at the side of a cliff 76 meter (250 feet) above the Indian Ocean. The temple is dedicated to the spirits of the sea, made of black coral rock, it is beautiful in its architecture and offers visitors stunning views of the surrounding area.
There is a small entrance fee for foreigners to enter the temple area. As the temple is still actively visited by locals to pray, visitors are not allowed within the inner temple. Visitors have to be dressed appropriately before being allowed to enter the temple compounds, there are sarongs that is available at the door for visitors who don't meet the dress code.
