
Tian Tan Buddha (天壇大佛) is located on Ngong Ping, Lantau Island, Hong Kong. The bronze Buddha statue symbolises the harmonious relationship between man and nature, people and religion. The Buddha statue is 34 meter (110 feet) tall and weighs 250 metric tons.
The Buddha statue sits on a lotus throne on top of a three-platform altar. It is surrounded by six smaller bronze statues known as "The Offering of the Six Devas" and are posed offering flowers, incense, lamp, ointment, fruit, and music to the Buddha. Visitors have to climb 268 steps in order to reach the lotus platform that the Tian Tan Buddha sits on.
