Vale da Lua (Valley of the Moon) is located in the Chapada dos Veadeiros National Park, Goiás, Brazil. Chapada dos Veadeiros is an ancient plateau that is estimated to be 1.8 billion years old. The rock formations are one of the oldest on the planet and along with the national park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The moon looking valley is worth a visit just by itself and visitors can admire the landscape and smooth grey rocks that have been smoothened by the crystal clear waters of the San Miguel River.
