
Built in 1692 on a cliff at 3,120 meter (10,200 feet), the Paro Taktsang Monastery which is also called The Tiger's Nest, is one of Bhutan's most famous monastery. Paro Taktsang was built around the Taktsang Senge Samdup cave where Padmasambhava or better known as Guru Rinpoche was said to have meditated in one of thirteen locations.
